Rafting & Kayaking » Tamur River
The Tamur River : (10 days trip from KTM / KTM / Grade: 5)
Tamur is newly opened for commercial river trips. The Tamur and its tributaries drain the snows of Kanchanjunga in the far east of Nepal, which is the third highest peak in the world. The river is the sixth largest river in Nepal and seems to have a feeling of thrusting power and of being constrained by its valley sides. Four days trekking from the nearest road access to the put in point through remote villages, forest and open land with spectacular views of the mountains – Kanchanjunga, Makalu and Mt. Everest. A magnificent white water trip one of the best in the world, with approximately 130 rapids in 120 kms.
