The Trishuli River: (1-3 days trip from Kathmandu or Pokhara )
The Trishuli draining the snow melt of the Ganesh and Langtang Himals , Legend says that high in the Himalaya at Gosaikunda the God Shiva drove his trident into the ground to create three springs the sources of the River and hence its name Trishuli.
The Trishuli is Nepal’s most popular rafting river , easy access from Katmandu and Pokhara , scenic valleys and impressive gorges , exhilarating rapids and easier sections and the right amount of time all make it the perfect trip for first time rafters.
A Three day trip on the Trishuli starting at Charaudi and taking out at Gaighat (closed to Chitwan) is a complete and satisfying experience. You run all the good rapids, following the river through its tributaries join, marvel as it cuts its way through impressive gorges, and then leave it as it spills over the Great Gangetic Plain.
